One thing I can assure you of folks is that one should not feel too sorry for Ma BIDSTRUP. Once she and "THE NOSE" hit the little Hamlet of OMEO, Victoria, she threw herself into Corporate life like a RAT to a BLOCK of cheese. Ma all of a sudden was sought after as a Company Director, Trustee of the odd Trust here and there. You see The NOSE couldn’t really be seen as one not good publicity. From housewife to Corporate GURU the Rat devoured the cheese at a ferocious speed. Now throw in the fact that Ma had also had a run at being a Cockatoo at the original Blacktoms at the theft of my car prior to it being offered as an offering to the Gods a burnt offering at that.
Now Ma, had a good run for a while, shares went up so the trusts went well. The pair invested in not one but two Garages, and the Golden Age Motel, nice house up the road. Pillars of the community, making money faster than The NOSE could gamble it at the TAB. Still never forget The Nose wasn’t long out of gaol for doing in $660,000.00 in one week at the Applecross TAB in Perth it did not take him long to change that situation. He was the only Share promoter who could talk his investors into making their Cheques out in the name of the Applecross TAB. Saved banking them and having to steal the money back. History often repeats itself. The cheques for the fuel went sky high and Ma found out she was really the short order cook at the Golden Age Motel not a lady of leisure ,the "LOOT" from the Companies and the Trusts went to the Bank alright but into the account of the local TAB.
Ma was and is in exile and so she should be. All of this carry on in BANJO PATTERSON COUNTRY, HIGH COUNTRY at that. What makes it worse is that when the locals found out that mum could not cook, they stopped coming to the Golden Age Motel in droves. The garages were often closed due to lack of fuel, last time I looked one had been sold the other was waiting for a fuel truck. "The NOSE was blaming Ma for it all, after all if she had come clean about not knowing how to cook, he would have stuck with the "Film STARS". |
